Story

A story is a narrative text.

1. The title hints at what the story is about.

2. The beginning of the story introduces the characters: –who, –and the setting: –where they are, place and in time.

3. The plot is what happens. It includes rising action, a problem or conflict and a turning point.

4. The ending sums up the story.

Direct speech/dialogue can make the story seem more vibrant and alive. It makes the reader feel that the action is happening as he or she reads.
