Verbs express being or action. Verbs are used in different tenses, like present, past and future.
Nouns are names of people, places, things and ideas. They are presented in singular or plural. Some are irregular.

Some adverbs help describe how something is done, others tell us when and how often something is happening.

Phrases of prepositions often express where something is in relation to someone or something else. Prepositions can also tell time.
